The Mossberg MVP Patrol is a compact bolt-action rifle designed for versatile, practical use, whether as a law enforcement or tactical rifle, a farm and ranch working firearm, or a convenient truck gun. The rifle is chambered in 5.56 mm NATO and is fully compatible with .223 Remington ammunition. It is built around Mossberg’s patented MVP system, which allows reliable feeding from standard AR-15–style magazines. The rifle is supplied with a detachable 10-round magazine, providing a total capacity of 10+1 rounds.
The rifle features a 16.25" (413 mm) medium bull barrel, designed to enhance rigidity and shooting stability. The barrel is threaded, fitted with a flash suppressor, and finished with an 11-degree tapered crown to promote consistent accuracy. A 1:9 twist rate allows the use of a wide range of common bullet weights in 5.56 mm / .223 Remington. All metal components, including the barrel and receiver, are protected by a matte blued blue-black finish, reducing glare and improving durability.
Sighting equipment consists of adjustable fiber-optic sights, offering fast target acquisition even in reduced light conditions. The receiver is equipped with a Picatinny rail, ready for mounting optics or red-dot sights. The trigger system is Mossberg’s patented Lightning Bolt Action (LBA) adjustable trigger, delivering a clean, predictable break with user-adjustable pull weight.
The stock is made from synthetic material with a textured Flat Dark Earth (tan) finish, ensuring a secure grip and resistance to harsh environmental conditions. The length of pull measures 337 mm, providing a balanced and ergonomic shooting position. The rifle has an overall length of 927 mm and an approximate weight of 3.2 kg, resulting in a well-balanced firearm that is easy to handle and transport.
