700 SPS Tactical, 16.5", .308Win

Remington 700 SPS Tactical 16.5" .308 Win is a bolt-action rifle designed for precision and tactical shooting, based on the proven Remington 700 platform. This model features a 16.5" (42 cm) heavy contour barrel with 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist rate. The muzzle is threaded 5/8"-24 UNEF for the installation of muzzle devices and is supplied with a thread protector. Overall length is 92 cm, weight is 3.175 kg, and the hinged floorplate magazine has a capacity of 4+1 rounds in .308 Win.

The Hogue OverMolded Ghillie Green stock features pillar bedding for stable action support and a SuperCell recoil pad for improved recoil absorption. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. Sling studs and a hinged floorplate magazine complete the rifle's configuration. The rifle is supplied without sights.

The receiver is machined from solid steel bar stock, providing a strong and uniform foundation for the action. Its cylindrical design provides a solid bedding base in the stock for consistent shot placement. The recessed bolt face locks up inside the counter-bored breech of the barrel, with the receiver surrounding the cartridge case head to create what Remington describes as a “three-rings-of-steel” configuration. An integral extractor is positioned in a groove inside the bolt face, providing uniform support for the cartridge head.
