CZ 457 ERGO – modern ergonomics with lightweight design
The CZ 457 ERGO is based on the popular and proven modular CZ 457 platform, complemented by a newly designed ergonomic stock inspired by the CZ 600 ERGO rifle. The thumbhole stock is made from polymer reinforced with fiberglass, providing excellent durability, resistance to harsh conditions, and a very favorable overall weight.
The ergonomic stock shape ensures a natural and stable grip during shooting. The rifle is equipped with a removable cheekpiece, allowing shooters to adjust cheek height according to the sights or optics used. The length of pull (LOP) of 355 mm contributes to a comfortable shooting position for both sporting and recreational shooting.
The rifle features a lightweight cold hammer‑forged barrel measuring 525 mm (20") in length and chambered in .22 LR, with a 1:16 twist rate and six grooves, ensuring consistent ballistic performance and reliable accuracy. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×20 for the installation of accessories, and the receiver is equipped with the proven 11 mm CZ dovetail rail for mounting optical sights.
The single‑stage trigger is fully adjustable, with a trigger pull weight of approximately 11–14 N, allowing shooters to fine‑tune the trigger characteristics to their preference. The CZ 457 platform also enables user‑friendly barrel and caliber changes, increasing the rifle’s versatility. The detachable magazine holds 5 rounds, and the rifle is capable of accuracy up to 1 MOA.
With an overall length of 976 mm and a weight of approximately 2.3 kg, the CZ 457 ERGO offers excellent handling and portability, making it a versatile rimfire rifle suitable for a wide range of shooting applications.
