The Heckler & Koch SFP9 OR is a modern semi-automatic pistol featuring a striker-fired (Single Action) trigger system, designed for duty and sport use with an emphasis on precision, ergonomics and optics compatibility. The OR (Optics Ready) version includes an interface for mounting MRDS red dot optics.
The pistol is chambered in 9 × 19 mm Luger and operates on a short recoil system with a modified Browning locking mechanism. The fully pre-cocked striker system provides a consistent trigger pull of 22 + 5 N, with a trigger travel of 6 mm and a reset of 3 mm, enabling fast and precise shooting. Magazine capacity is 15 / 17 / 20 rounds.
The barrel length is 104 mm (4.09"), manufactured from cold hammer-forged special steel with a polygonal bore profile, ensuring long service life and consistent ballistic performance. Muzzle velocity reaches approximately 360 m/s, with a muzzle energy of 518 J. The barrel is precisely fitted to the slide, contributing to excellent repeatable accuracy.
The frame is constructed from high-strength polymer and, combined with a weight of 650 g (without magazine), provides excellent balance and recoil control. Overall length is 186 mm, height 138 mm, and width 33 mm, with a sight radius of 162 mm supporting precise aiming.
Ergonomics are a key strength of the SFP9 platform. The grip features interchangeable side panels and backstraps for optimal customization. The low bore axis improves control during rapid fire. All controls are fully ambidextrous, and a cocking indicator is located at the rear of the slide.
The pistol is equipped with contrast sights, while the main advantage is the optics-ready interface for mounting red dot sights. The frame also features a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for mounting accessories.
