The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II with Magpul® MOE® M-LOK® is a modern semi-automatic rifle based on the AR-15 platform, designed for a wide range of recreational, sport shooting, and professional applications. Chambered in 5.56 NATO and equipped with a 16-inch barrel made from 4140 chromoly steel with an Armornite® finish applied to both the interior and exterior surfaces, it combines durability, reliability, and lightweight handling. The barrel is threaded and features a 1:9" twist rate, while the front sight is an A2-style front post. Armornite® is a hardened nitride finish that enhances corrosion and wear resistance, reduces light reflection, and improves surface lubricity.
The rifle is equipped with a Magpul® MOE® M-LOK® Carbine-Length handguard, providing flexible accessory mounting through the M-LOK® system. A 2-inch M-LOK® Picatinny-style rail panel is also included, further expanding accessory mounting options. The rifle features an aluminum receiver, a forged integral trigger guard, forward assist, dust cover, and chromed firing pin. Sighting equipment includes a Magpul® MBUS® rear sight, while the upper mounting interface is optics-ready for the installation of a suitable optic.
The adjustable collapsible stock allows the rifle to be adapted to the shooter's preferred length of pull, while the polymer pistol grip complements the ergonomic design. The rifle is supplied with a 30-round Magpul® PMAG® and features a thumb-operated manual safety. Overall length is approximately 36.75 inches (93.3 cm), width 2.56 inches (6.5 cm), height 7.35 inches (18.7 cm), and weight 108.6 oz (3.08 kg).
