The Kimber KDS9c® Rail represents over four decades of firearms manufacturing expertise and was engineered from the ground up as a personal protection platform prioritizing reliability, accuracy, and ergonomics. Chambered in 9 mm, it is fed by a 15-/18-round magazines (two 15RD included); the frame is machined from 7075 aerospace-grade aluminum with an integrated cross-hatch texture on both the front and back strap that flows into the grip for superior ergonomics and purchase. The pistol’s overall length is 7.75 inches (197 mm) and its weight with an empty magazine is 0.75 kg. The slide is stainless steel with a KimPro Black finish and features front and rear cocking serrations; the design is optic ready with a removable cover plate and offers micro-optic (RMSC / Holosun-K) mounting plates for customization.

The barrel measures 4.09" and is a match-grade stainless steel barrel that is fully fluted, crowned with a 20° flush-cut deep crown, and ramped; Kimber’s proprietary bore sizing process delivers match-grade accuracy and the twist rate is 1:10 left hand for stable projectile performance. The action includes a skeletonized squared serrated hammer, a recoil spring with a preload of approximately 7.7 kg. Two factory 15-round magazines included in the package, and 18-round magazines are optional. The trigger is factory-set to approximately 1.6–2 kg for a crisp, predictable break. Grip confidence is provided by gray and black G10 Crosshatch grips and the integrated frame texture.

Sighting is handled by a proprietary serrated adjustable rear sight and a green fiber-optic front sight, giving quick target acquisition in varied lighting. The KDS9c® Rail combines a lightweight, robust 7075 aluminum frame, durable finishes, match-grade barrel work and user-focused features for dependable performance in defensive scenarios.
