The CZ REDHEAD PREMIER TARGET shotgun is a sport-oriented over-and-under model designed primarily for range use and clay shooting disciplines such as trap or skeet. Its construction combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods, with emphasis placed on ergonomics, stability during shooting and long service life under intensive use.
The shotgun features an ergonomically shaped Monte Carlo stock, which provides a stable cheek weld and promotes consistent gun mounting for sport shooting. The stock is made from high-quality Turkish walnut with a lacquered finish that protects the wood against moisture and wear while highlighting its natural grain. The gripping surfaces are equipped with laser-cut checkering, improving control and secure handling during extended shooting sessions.
The shotgun is fitted with a pair of barrels measuring 30" (760 mm) in length, which contribute to smooth target tracking and enhanced stability during the shot. The barrels are threaded for interchangeable choke tubes, and the standard package includes a set of five interchangeable chokes, allowing the shooter to adapt the shot pattern to different clay shooting disciplines and distances. The shotgun is chambered in 12/76, enabling the use of a wide range of modern shotgun cartridges.
The trigger system uses a single trigger for both barrels, allowing convenient and smooth alternation between shots from each barrel. Safe handling is ensured by a cross-bolt manual safety. When the action is opened, automatic ejectors actively expel the spent shells from the chambers, significantly speeding up reloading during sporting use.
The shotgun has a capacity of 2 rounds, one in each barrel. A length of pull of 355 mm provides comfortable shouldering for most shooters. The overall length of the shotgun is 1225 mm, with a weight of approximately 3.6 kg, contributing to stable swing characteristics and helping to moderate recoil during repeated shooting. Trigger pull is set at approximately 19 N.
