The Hatsan Escort AS is a 12/76 Magnum gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun designed for reliable cycling and versatile performance. Its gas-operated action ensures smooth operation with a wide range of shotshell loads.
The shotgun features a 710 mm (28") barrel manufactured from Ni-Cr-Mo steel with a black chrome finish for enhanced corrosion resistance and durability. A 6 mm ventilated anti-glare rib is fitted to the barrel, which utilizes a 5-choke interchangeable choke system suitable for steel shot. The shotgun is supplied with Full (F), Improved Modified (IM), Modified (M), Improved Cylinder (IC), and Cylinder (CYL) choke tubes. All barrels are proof tested.
The receiver is manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish and incorporates an 11 mm scope mounting groove. The stock and forend are crafted from Turkish walnut with checkering. Stock spacers and shims allow adjustment of stock length, drop, and cast, while a rubber recoil pad reduces felt recoil.
The shotgun features the Fast Loading System for rapid loading and a Magazine Cut-Off System for unloading the chamber without feeding the next shell. It is equipped with a manual cross-button safety and a metal bead front sight.
A tubular magazine provides a 4+1 round capacity, which can be increased to 7+1 rounds with an optional magazine extension or reduced to 2+1 rounds using a migratory plug.
