The SXP Defender – Flat Dark Earth is a 12/76 pump-action shotgun built on the Super X Pump (SXP) platform. The design combines compact dimensions, durable protective finishes, and construction features intended to enhance long-term durability and reliable operation.
The shotgun features a 457 mm (18") steel barrel utilizing Back-Bored Technology. The barrel is protected by a Perma-Cote Flat Dark Earth (FDE) finish and incorporates a chrome-plated chamber and bore to increase resistance to wear and corrosion. The shotgun utilizes the Invector-Plus™ Flush interchangeable choke system and is supplied with a Cylinder choke tube.
The aluminum alloy receiver is also finished in Perma-Cote FDE, matching the Flat Dark Earth composite stock and forend. The receiver is drilled and tapped to accommodate optic mounting bases. Sighting equipment consists of a brass bead front sight complemented by a removable TRUGLO® fiber-optic front sight.
The action utilizes dual action bars and a four-lug rotary bolt that provides secure lock-up. Additional features include a reversible crossbolt safety, Speed-Plug System, drop-out trigger group, and an Inflex Technology Recoil Pad. The bolt, barrel components, slide, and action bars are protected with a black chrome finish.
The shotgun is equipped with a tubular magazine holding 5 rounds of 12/76 ammunition. Overall length is 978 mm, length of pull measures 349 mm, and weight is approximately 2.84 kg. Sling swivel studs are included as standard equipment.
