The rifle is chambered in 7.62 mm NATO / .308 Winchester and features a 16.25‑inch (413 mm) medium bull barrel, which provides good accuracy and thermal stability. The barrel is threaded and fitted with a removable A2‑style flash suppressor, supplemented by a protective thread cap.
