783 Heavy Barrel Threaded, FDE, 5/8x24

Remington 783 Heavy Barrel Threaded 16.5" chambered in .308 Win is a bolt-action rifle from the Remington 783 series, combining compact dimensions with a heavy, free-floating barrel and modern features for precision shooting. It features a 16.5" (41.9 cm) carbon steel barrel with right-hand rifling and a 1:10 twist rate. The bore is produced using button rifling with very shallow rifling grooves. The muzzle is threaded for mounting a suppressor, muzzle brake or compensator and is supplied with a thread protector. Overall length is 38 1/8" (96.8 cm).

The barrel is free-floating and fitted into a nylon-reinforced synthetic FDE stock. The semi-grip stock features subtle texturing around the pistol grip for a secure hold and is fitted with a soft SuperCell recoil pad. The receiver is equipped with a Picatinny rail for mounting optical sights.

The rifle uses a conventional rotating bolt with two locking lugs and a classic flat Remington bolt handle. The adjustable CrossFire trigger system features a safety integrated into the trigger blade. Trigger pull can be adjusted from 1.13 to 2.25 kg (2.5–5 lb / 11.3–22.5 N). The steel detachable magazine with steel follower has a capacity of 4 rounds in .308 Win.
