The Savage Arms AXIS II XP delivers enhanced out-of-the-box accuracy while maintaining the affordability that defines the AXIS series. Its improved synthetic stock offers refined ergonomics and rugged all-weather durability, complementing the well-balanced sporter-contour barrel made from carbon steel. The 22-inch button-rifled barrel with a matte black finish uses a 1:10 twist rate and is securely thread-in headspaced to the receiver, ensuring consistent chamber alignment and repeatable precision with every shot.

The package comes complete with a factory-mounted and bore-sighted 3–9×40 mm scope installed on two-piece Weaver-style bases with medium-height rings, allowing shooters to take the rifle into the field immediately. The detachable four-round box magazine features an ambidextrous release and works in conjunction with the smooth side bolt release and the reliable bolt-action system. The carbon steel receiver shares the same matte black finish as the barrel, providing a uniform and practical appearance while maintaining robustness.

Savage equips the AXIS II XP with the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, enabling fine tuning of trigger pull from approximately 2.5 to 6 pounds to achieve a clean, consistent break tailored to the shooter’s preference. The synthetic stock features a fixed length of pull of 13.75 inches and is fitted with a recoil pad to mitigate felt recoil. Dual QD sling studs allow convenient attachment of a sling or bipod.
