CZ 457 LUX – a modern rimfire rifle in the tradition of classic European hunting rifles
The CZ 457 LUX is a precise, safe, and reliable modern rimfire rifle that follows the design tradition of classic European hunting rifles. It combines the timeless appearance of a traditional sporting firearm with the advanced CZ 457 action, renowned for its accuracy, durability, and ease of maintenance.
The rifle features a high-quality Turkish walnut stock with a durable lacquer finish. A raised cheekpiece provides a comfortable cheek weld, while laser-cut checkering on the grip and fore-end ensures a secure hold in all shooting conditions. The rifle is equipped with traditional mechanical iron sights, allowing quick and intuitive aiming even without optical optics.
The lightweight cold hammer-forged barrel measures 630 mm (24") in length and is chambered in .17 HMR. With a rifling twist rate of 1:9 and six grooves, it delivers excellent ballistic performance and long service life. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×20, enabling the installation of compatible accessories. The CZ 457 platform also allows for user-friendly barrel and caliber changes, increasing the rifle’s versatility.
The single-stage trigger is fully adjustable, with a trigger pull weight ranging from approximately 11–14 N, allowing shooters to tailor the trigger characteristics to their preference. The detachable magazine holds 5 rounds. Thanks to its precise manufacturing, the rifle is capable of accuracy up to 1 MOA.
With an overall length of 1088 mm, a length of pull of 355 mm, and a weight of approximately 2.9 kg, the CZ 457 LUX offers balanced handling and stability. It is well suited for both target shooting and small-game hunting, combining traditional aesthetics with the performance and reliability of a modern rimfire rifle system.
