CZ 457 – classic hunting rimfire with modern precision
This CZ 457 model is designed for shooters and hunters who appreciate the traditional look of classic European hunting rifles while expecting modern performance, reliability, and accuracy. It is built on the proven CZ 457 platform, well known for its precision, safety, and ease of maintenance.
The stock with a raised cheekpiece is crafted from select walnut and features a decorative fore-end tip made from ornamental material. The stock is finished with an oil treatment that enhances the natural grain of the wood while providing a comfortable and secure grip. The ergonomic design with a length of pull (LOP) of 355 mm ensures a stable and comfortable shooting position.
The lightweight cold hammer-forged barrel measures 630 mm (24") and is chambered in .17 HMR, with a 1:9 twist rate and six grooves for consistent ballistic performance. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×20, allowing the installation of accessories such as a suppressor. The rifle is equipped with mechanical iron sights consisting of a folding rear sight and a fiber-optic front sight, enabling fast and intuitive target acquisition in the field.
The single-stage trigger is fully adjustable, with a trigger pull weight of approximately 11–14 N. The CZ 457 system also allows for user-friendly barrel and caliber changes, increasing the rifle’s versatility. The detachable magazine has a capacity of 5 rounds, and the rifle is capable of accuracy up to 1 MOA.
With an overall length of 1085 mm and a weight of approximately 3.2 kg, the rifle offers excellent stability during shooting. This model represents a refined combination of classic aesthetics, premium walnut craftsmanship, and the modern engineering of the CZ 457 rimfire platform.
