CZ 457 RANGE – precision rimfire rifle for sport shooting and hunting
The CZ 457 RANGE is a modern rimfire rifle designed for both sport shooting and hunting, inspired by the design of the CZ 600 RANGE centerfire rifle. It is engineered for highly accurate shooting at medium and longer distances, making it a versatile platform suitable for static and dynamic target shooting as well as small‑game hunting or pest control.
The rifle’s precision is primarily achieved through its heavy cold hammer‑forged barrel measuring 525 mm (20") in length with a Match chamber, ensuring consistent ballistic performance when firing .22 LR ammunition. The barrel features a 1:16 twist rate with six grooves, while the Varmint Match barrel profile contributes to excellent stability and reduced shot dispersion. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×20 under a protective cap, and the rifle is supplied with a compensator to help reduce muzzle rise during firing.
Another key element is the robust laminated stock with a lacquered finish, designed to provide maximum stability during precise shooting. The stock features an adjustable cheekpiece and a length of pull (LOP) of 355 mm, allowing shooters to tailor the rifle to their individual shooting position.
The single‑stage trigger is fully adjustable, with a trigger pull weight of approximately 11–14 N, enabling precise adjustment to suit the shooter’s preferences. The CZ 457 platform also allows user‑friendly barrel and caliber changes, increasing the rifle’s versatility. The detachable magazine holds 5 rounds, and the rifle delivers accuracy up to 1 MOA.
