The CZ 457 TRAINING RIFLE chambered in .22 LR is a modern training rimfire rifle designed for both novice and experienced shooters. Built on the proven CZ 457 platform, it combines outstanding safety, accuracy, and user comfort. Its traditional layout, long barrel, and iron sights make it an excellent choice for marksmanship training, target shooting, and recreational use.
The cold hammer-forged lightweight barrel measures 24" (610 mm) and features a 1/2"x20 UNF threaded muzzle for the installation of muzzle accessories. Its 1:16 twist rate with six grooves provides excellent accuracy and long service life. The fully adjustable single-stage trigger allows both trigger pull adjustment from 8–15 N and trigger travel adjustment, enabling shooters to tailor the trigger characteristics to their individual preferences. Like all CZ 457 models, it also features a user-friendly barrel and caliber interchange system.
A key feature of the CZ 457 platform is its shortened 60° bolt lift, allowing fast and smooth cycling even when using a riflescope. Safety is enhanced by the silent positive safety, the ability to open the bolt while the rifle remains on safe, a dedicated bolt removal control that does not require pulling the trigger, and a cocking indicator that can be checked both visually and by touch. A redesigned bedding system, combined with a significantly lighter firing pin, minimizes vibration during firing, ensures stable action bedding, and helps maintain long-term accuracy.
The lacquered beechwood stock features a 360 mm length of pull, providing a comfortable and natural shooting position. Combined with the rifle's 2.9 kg weight and long barrel, it offers excellent stability for precision shooting. The rifle is equipped with iron sights consisting of a front sight and an adjustable tangent rear sight for accurate shooting at various distances.
A detachable 5-round polymer magazine, an overall length of 1085 mm, and an exceptionally durable corrosion-resistant finish on all metal components complete this versatile training rifle, blending traditional styling with the modern engineering of the CZ 457 platform.
