MAUSER AK47 Omega in .22 Long Rifle is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle based in both appearance and overall concept on the iconic AK-47 platform. Developed by German Sport Guns, it combines the characteristic layout of the classic rifle with the low recoil and economical operation of rimfire ammunition. The rifle is well suited for target shooting, recreational shooting, and training.

The rifle features an all-metal receiver, complemented by durable polymer components. The modern polymer handguard features M-LOK mounting slots on both sides and a Picatinny rail along the top, providing plenty of options for mounting accessories and optical sights. A side mounting interface in the AK style is also located on the right side of the receiver for compatible optic mounts.

The rifle uses a semi-automatic blowback action and a single-action trigger with an approximate trigger pull of 3.5 kg. The .22 LR chambering is optimized for High Velocity ammunition. The 18" (450 mm) barrel features six grooves with a 1:16" (406 mm) twist rate. Overall length with the stock extended is 925 mm, while the unloaded rifle weighs approximately 3.32 kg.

The rifle is fitted with a side-folding polymer stock, allowing the overall length to be reduced for easier transportation and storage. The curved magazine has a 24-round capacity and complements the characteristic appearance of the AK platform. The controls are designed for comfortable handling and the rifle is suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters.
