The Heckler & Koch USP Expert is a precision semi-automatic pistol designed primarily for competitive and target shooting, while still retaining the robust, duty-oriented character of the USP platform. This model represents one of the most accurate pistols in HK’s lineup and was developed to meet the demands of performance-oriented sport shooters.
The pistol is chambered in 9 × 19 mm Luger and features a traditional SA/DA trigger system with a combined manual safety and decocking lever. Trigger pull is 17 N in single action and 50 N in double action, with a trigger travel of 11 mm and a reset of 6 mm, allowing excellent control during precision shooting. Magazine capacity is 18 rounds, and two magazines are supplied.
The 132 mm barrel is manufactured from hammer-forged steel with polygonal rifling featuring six grooves and a right-hand twist. An O-ring at the muzzle reduces barrel play within the slide, enhancing consistency and accuracy. The barrel is housed in a steel slide with rear serrations for secure handling.
The frame is constructed from high-strength polymer, and the weight of the pistol without a magazine is 868 g, contributing to stable shooting characteristics. Overall length is 221 mm, height 149 mm, and width 29 mm. The extended sight radius of 190 mm supports precise target acquisition.
Ergonomics are optimized for sport shooting, with a grip angle designed for natural pointing and a non-slip surface for a secure hold. The lower grip geometry supports reliable and efficient magazine changes. Controls follow the standard USP configuration.
