The Kimber AMETHYST ULTRA II is a striking personal defense pistol that blends dynamic styling with a range of performance-enhancing features. Chambered in 9 mm, it is fed by an 8-round magazine. The pistol’s overall length is 6.8 inches (172.7 mm) and its weight with an empty magazine is 0.7 kg. The frame is made from aluminum with a satin silver finish complemented by an amethyst purple PVD coating, featuring ball-milled grooves on the front strap and a round heel frame; the slide is stainless steel with an amethyst purple PVD finish and cut-through scroll engraving with a border. A full-length guide rod and a recoil spring with a preload of approximately 7.3 kg ensure reliable cycling. The barrel measures 3 inches, match-grade stainless steel, ramped with a 1:16 left-hand twist. Sighting is via fixed Tactical Wedge 3-dot tritium night sights. The trigger is solid aluminum, match grade, factory-set to approximately 1.8–2.3 kg. Thin purple and black ball-milled G10 grips complete the AMETHYST ULTRA II’s distinctive appearance while providing secure handling.
