The Kimber Custom Two-Tone NEXT GEN (OR) NEW represents a modern evolution of the classic 1911 platform, drawing from the success of the 2K11 and incorporating performance-driven enhancements. Chambered in 9 mm, this model blends traditional steel construction with contemporary features such as an optic-ready slide and an external extractor, providing flexibility for shooters who appreciate classic styling with modern functionality.
The stainless steel slide is finished in Kimpro II Black and features front and rear serrations along with a flat, serrated top to reduce glare. The stainless steel frame is completed in Satin Silver, creating a striking two-tone appearance. Internal upgrades include a sloped disconnector ramp and the GT Performance Trigger, factory set at approximately 4.0–5.0 lb (≈ 17.8–22.2 N), delivering a crisp break and consistent reset suitable for match-grade performance.
The 5" (127 mm) stainless steel barrel utilizes a bushing with a deep crown to protect the muzzle and maintain accuracy, with a 1:16 left-hand twist. The pistol employs a mil-spec guide rod and a recoil spring rated at 12 lb (≈ 53.4 N).
Overall dimensions provide balanced handling and control: overall length: 8.6" (≈ 21.84 cm), height: 5.4" (≈ 13.72 cm), width: 1.35" (≈ 3.43 cm) and a weight with empty magazine of 1026 g. Magazine capacity is 9 rounds.
