The Kimber RAPIDE (SCORPIUS) blends traditional 1911 mechanics with modern durability treatments and a bold visual identity, aimed at shooters who demand both reliability and striking aesthetics. Chambered in .45ACP, it accepts a 8-round magazine. The pistol’s overall length is 8.7 inches (221 mm) and its weight with an empty magazine is 40 ounces (1.13 kg). Both the frame and slide are stainless steel with a Black KimPro II finish and brush-polished flats, providing a refined, high-contrast appearance.

The slide features front serrations and lightening cuts to accelerate cycling and improve slide lock-up. The 5-inch match-grade stainless steel barrel is finished with a Black DLC coating for superior wear and corrosion resistance. The left-hand twist rate of 1:16 promotes stable projectile behavior.

Grip confidence is provided by the Kimber Stiplex™ front strap texturing and black RAPIDE G10 grips, ensuring control in demanding conditions. Aiming is assisted by Tru-Glo TFX Pro Day/Night sights with an orange ring front for visibility in varied lighting. The V-Cut aluminum trigger is factory-set to approximately 4.0–5.0 lb (≈1.8–2.3 kg) for a crisp, predictable break.

A Mil-Spec guide rod and a recoil spring with a preload of approximately 7.26 kg (16.0 lb) contribute to reliable cycling and long service life. The RAPIDE (SCORPIUS) is a visually striking and technically robust 1911 variant, combining modern coatings and ergonomics with Kimber’s traditional craftsmanship.
