The Kimber Stainless NEXT GEN (OR) NEW represents a modern evolution of the classic 1911 platform, combining full stainless-steel construction with features designed for today’s shooters. Chambered in 9 mm, this model incorporates next-generation enhancements including an optic-ready slide, external extractor, and refined internal geometry for improved reliability and consistent cycling.
The stainless steel slide features a Stainless finish with front and rear serrations and a flat, serrated top to reduce glare. The stainless steel frame is finished in Satin Silver, creating a clean, uniform all-stainless appearance. Internal updates include a sloped disconnector ramp and the GT Performance Trigger, factory set at approximately 4.0–5.0 lb (≈ 17.8–22.2 N), delivering a crisp break and fast reset suitable for match-grade performance.
The 5" (127 mm) stainless steel barrel is fitted with a bushing featuring a deep crown to protect the muzzle and maintain accuracy, and it utilizes a 16 left-hand twist. The pistol employs a mil-spec guide rod and a recoil spring rated at 12 lb (≈ 53.4 N).
