The Kimber 2K11 Comp Black is the full-size 5-inch compensated model within the 2K11 lineup, engineered for maximum recoil reduction and muzzle control. Each pistol is individually assembled by skilled technicians to ensure precise fit and consistent quality. This high-capacity double-stack 1911 platform delivers a remarkably flat and controllable shooting experience.
The integrated compensator is seamlessly machined into the slide and barrel, eliminating the need for external components. The forward port measures 0.16 square inches (≈ 1.03 cm²), optimizing gas redirection and reducing muzzle rise during rapid fire.
The pistol is built on a Stainless Steel frame with an SST steel sub-frame – DLC finish. Ergonomic enhancements include a Stan Chen Customs magwell, bumped grip safety, ambidextrous safety, and front strap checkering (LPI). Frame width measures 1.53" (≈ 3.89 cm).
The Stainless Steel slide features an external extractor, custom 2K11 serrations, and a durable DLC finish.
The 5" (127 mm) stainless steel barrel is fluted, ramped, finished in Black DLC, and utilizes 5R rifling with a 1:10 twist rate (left hand) for consistent accuracy and stability.
The aluminum GT Match Grade Trigger delivers a crisp break between 3–4 lb (≈ 13.3–17.8 N) with short travel and zero creep. The pistol includes a Toolless Guide Rod (patent-pending) and a recoil spring rated at 10 lb (≈ 44.5 N).
Optics readiness is provided via an included Tag Precision RMR adapter plate. The sight system consists of a TAG FiberLok 2 front sight and an adjustable rear sight cover plate, with additional red and black fiber-optic inserts included.
Overall dimensions are overall length: 8.56" (≈ 21.74 cm), height: 5.76" (≈ 14.63 cm), and weight with empty magazine of 1009 g. The pistol includes (1) 17-round and (2) 20-round magazines.
