The Kimber R7 Carbon Compact TFS is the latest addition to the R7 family, built around a fully redesigned frame made from a carbon fiber-infused matrix that delivers exceptional strength — up to 60,000 psi (≈ 413.7 MPa) — while keeping the platform lightweight. The design targets modern EDC requirements, offering a pronounced high undercut for superb ergonomics, an extended flared magwell for fast reloads and four interchangeable modular backstraps to tailor the grip. The performance carry trigger is tuned for repeatability and accuracy from the 4.42" (≈ 11.23 cm) threaded barrel, and factory trigger pull is approximately 5.0–6.75 lb (≈ 22.24–30.04 N).
This TFS model features a threaded barrel for suppression or compensator mounting, enabling the use of sound-suppressing devices or compensators; the exact thread specification is not listed in the provided source data. Kimber’s side ejection port and no-snag profile create a sleek concealed-carry platform, while an optics cover plate milled for RMSc/Holosun K footprints allows easy micro-red-dot integration. The slide and barrel are stainless steel with an FNC finish, the frame is carbon-fiber infused with molded stippling, and the pistol includes an accessory rail, flared magwell, high undercut, and ambidextrous slide lever and magazine release.
Capacity is 15 rounds (two magazines included). Dimensionally the pistol balances concealability and handling with an overall length of 7.60" (≈ 19.30 cm), a grip width of 1.16" (≈ 2.95 cm), a height of 5.30" (≈ 13.46 cm) and a weight without magazine of 24.8 oz (≈ 703.1 g).
The Carbon Compact TFS (OR) delivers durability, adaptability, threaded-barrel suppression capability and refined handling in a compact striker-fired package.
