The Ruger Charger Takedown is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 LR, designed for portability and convenience. It features a 10″ (25.4 cm) cold hammer-forged barrel for precision and durability. Its key distinction is the takedown design, allowing the firearm to be quickly separated into two parts—the barrel and the receiver—without tools. This makes it ideal for transport, backpacking, or use in the field. The barrel is threaded 1/2-28” for use with suppressors or muzzle devices and includes a factory-installed thread protector. A Picatinny rail on top allows for easy optics mounting.

The receiver is built from alloy steel with a matte black synthetic stock, and it comes with an ergonomic A2-style grip, interchangeable with standard AR grips. It uses a BX‑15 magazine with a 15+1 round capacity. An adjustable bipod is typically included for stable supported shooting. The overall assembled length is approximately 19.25″ (48.9 cm), and the weight is around 50 oz (1.4 kg). A cross-bolt safety is positioned within the trigger guard. The Ruger 22 Charger Takedown is an excellent choice for plinking, training, or small game hunting—compact, accurate, and easy to transport.
