The M1911 GI Standard is a great representation of the original American 1911 combat pistol in 9 mm Luger caliber. It's built under the highest manufacturing and engineering standards of Rock Island Armory. Solid low-profile sights and traditional smooth slim design are ideal for quick draws from the holster. Durable anti-corrosion finish (parkerization) provides a durable and smooth non-reflective surface. Smooth rubber grips offer a comfortable grip that everyone will appreciate both in feel and design. The 5" barrel offers a balanced weight for increased accuracy and recoil mitigation that made the original 1911 design famous. True to all Rock Island 1911 pistols,the GI Standard comes with a sharp factory trigger mechanism with 4 to 6 pounds of resistance, making this excellent pistol a great experience right out of the box.
