The new CZ P-09 service model was created on the base of long-term cooperation with many armed forces members from all over the world. The emphasis was placed on maximum reliability and accuracy, and special attention was also paid to the shooting comfort and ergonomics of the weapon during development. At the end of its development, the CZ P-09 successfully passed many tests in very demanding conditions and environments, and these tests far exceeded normal military and service standards.
A modern, mechanically and thermally very resistant polymer, reinforced with glass fibers, was used for the CZ P-09 frame. The new surface finish of the slide, barrel and other small parts significantly improves the weapon's resistance to any mechanical damage and also increases its corrosion resistance.
Shooting comfort
Drawing, aiming and working with the trigger are very intuitive. Recoil has been minimized, the weapon naturally returns to the intended position even with faster shooting and is easy to control. In the area of ergonomics, there has been an overall rounding, removal of sharp edges and the addition of front cocking grooves. A new hammer shape and trigger has also been developed for better comfort when shooting and handling. The package includes three replaceable backstraps (sizes S, M, L) allowing you to adapt the weapon to the shooter needs. The pistol has an exceptional capacity 19+1 rounds in 9x19 caliber, or 15+1 rounds in .40 S&W caliber. New steel sights with three luminescent dots with long afterglow are also standardized.
Omega
The proven Omega trigger mechanism has been retained, which, among other things, allows easy selection between the weapon's safety features - a manual safety or releasing the cocked hammer on the safety bar. The controls are double-sided, the magazine catch is also rotatable. Each weapon is factory zeroed for 25m distance.
