The Steyr M9-A2 MF is a modernized duty pistol from Austria, chambered in 9×19 mm and building upon the success of the previous A1 series. It features a 102 mm (4.0″) barrel and an overall length of 187 mm (7.4″), with an unloaded weight of 780 g (27.5 oz). The standard magazine holds 17 rounds, with an optional 10-round version available for restricted markets.

It operates using the Reset Action System – a specialized double-action trigger mechanism offering a smooth pull with a distinct and short reset. Safety features include a trigger safety and drop safety, with an optional manual trigger safety.

The synthetic grip frame allows customization with interchangeable side panels and backstraps to fit different hand sizes. A standout feature of the M9-A2 MF is its triangular sights, designed for fast, instinctive target acquisition. This pistol is suited for both law enforcement and civilian users who demand reliability, precision, and modern ergonomics.
