The Taurus PT-24/7 OSS DS is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9 mm Luger, originally developed to meet the requirements of the U.S. armed forces for a reliable, modern-duty sidearm. It features a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) trigger system with an external hammer, allowing both precise single-action firing and restrike capability in case of a misfire.

The pistol is equipped with a 5.25" barrel, which, together with the extended slide, enhances accuracy. The frame is made of durable polymer with ergonomic contours and interchangeable backstraps for a customizable grip. The steel slide, finished in matte black, includes aggressive serrations on both ends for confident manipulation. The PT-24/7 OSS DS uses Novak-style fixed sights and includes a Picatinny rail for mounting accessories such as lights or lasers.

Safety features include an external manual safety, trigger safety, and a firing pin block. The pistol weighs approximately 900 grams and comes with a 17-round magazine.
