The Walther PPQ NAVY OPS 4" in 9x19 caliber is a rugged version of the popular PPQ series, built for extreme conditions. It features a threaded barrel, water drainage ports, and reliable function even after submersion. Outstanding ergonomics, accuracy, and Quick Defense trigger remain unchanged.
Walther PPQ Classic (sometimes also referred to as M1) is the first and oldest version of the entire current PPQ semi-automatic pistol model line from Carl Walther GmbH. The weapon, following on from the phenomenal Walther P99, retained the typical rocker magazine release at the root of the trigger guard. Originally, the model was only called PPQ, but with the later arrival of the modified PPQ M2 version with a button magazine release, the designation was supplemented with PPQ Classic, although it is sometimes incorrectly referred to as PPQ M1.
Walther entered the new millennium with the popular and proven, but slowly aging P99 model in several variants, with the imaginary peak of this model line being the P99Q version. This model was subsequently developed into a completely new pistol, which soon became a very popular service and defensive weapon and, over time, it also found its way among sports shooters: the Walther PPQ (Polizei Pistole Quick Defence). The original version was offered only with the traditional German magazine release consisting of a rocker double-sided lever copying the shape of the trigger guard root, however, subsequently, especially under pressure from the American market, a modified M2 version was introduced with a push-button release that can be moved to the left or right side of the frame. Today, practically all models of the PPQ / Q4 / Q5 series are offered on the basis of the PPQ M2 frame, however, any of the Walther weapons company models can also be supplied with a Classic type frame on request.
The pistol has a locked slide and ambidextrous control. The slide has a trapezoidal cross-section and prominent fingerboards in the front and rear, which makes it easier to grip when cocking the weapon. The frame is equipped with a mounting rail in the front.
The Walther PPQ Classic pistol is characterized in particular by its excellent, sophisticated frame ergonomics with the possibility of replacing the back of the handle, fully ambidextrous control and then the top-notch Quick Defence trigger, which is undoubtedly one of the best trigger mechanisms for striker-fired pistols. If even this excellent trigger mechanism is not enough for someone, they can replace it with custom Walther Dynamic Performance or Walther Expert triggers.
The PPQ Classic is supplied with steel luminescent sights, which can be replaced with top-notch sights from Evoarms (Zendl) or robust service sights from the American company Truglo. The frame handle can then be equipped with an excellent Talon adhesive grip.
