The Kimber Mountain Ascent Peak is a purpose-built mountain rifle that brings Kimber’s long legacy of precision centerfire rifles to a lightweight, field-ready platform. The Peak continues the Mountain Ascent line with a 7075 aluminum bedding block married to a featherweight composite stock made from fiberglass, carbon fiber and Kevlar, providing a rock-solid foundation for Kimber’s hyper-accurate barrels. The action slide mechanism is an 84M design with front locking, a Mauser claw extractor and a three-position Model 70-type safety, and the fluted bolt body with a hollow bolt knob improves cycling and handling in the field.
