SASS Ruger Vaquero is a single-action revolver chambered for .357 Magnum cartridges, developed in cooperation with the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) as a special edition of the classic Vaquero platform. The frame is made of stainless steel with a high-gloss stainless finish, emphasizing its commemorative character while maintaining durability and mechanical reliability.
The revolver operates in a single-action system and is equipped with a transfer bar safety mechanism and a loading gate interlock, ensuring safe carry even with all chambers loaded. A patented reverse indexing pawl allows easier and more precise cylinder positioning for loading and unloading, while the traditionally beveled cylinder supports smooth holstering. The cold hammer-forged barrel provides precise rifling with a 1:16" RH twist rate, optimized for .357 Magnum cartridges. A blade front sight combined with an integral rear sight machined into the frame follows the traditional and functional sighting concept. The model also features a Montado-style hammer, enabling faster and more ergonomic cocking. Ergonomics are complemented by black checkered grips with SASS logo, reinforcing both handling security and the special-edition identity.
In terms of dimensions, the SASS Ruger Vaquero features a barrel length of 4.62" (117 mm), an overall length of 260 mm, a cylinder capacity of 6 rounds, and a weight of approximately 1276 g, providing balanced handling and stable shooting performance.
