Ruger Vaquero Stainless is a single-action revolver chambered for .45 Colt cartridges, designed in a classic western style with emphasis on traditional ergonomics and modern mechanical reliability. The frame is made of stainless steel with a high-gloss stainless finish, providing excellent corrosion resistance while giving the revolver a refined, polished appearance.
The revolver operates in a single-action system and is equipped with a transfer bar safety mechanism and a loading gate interlock, ensuring safe carry even with all chambers loaded. A patented reverse indexing pawl allows precise cylinder alignment during loading and unloading, while the traditionally beveled cylinder supports smooth holstering. The cold hammer-forged barrel provides precise rifling with a 1:16" RH twist rate, optimized for .45 Colt ammunition. A blade front sight combined with an integral rear sight notch machined into the frame reflects the simple and functional sighting concept typical of this class of revolvers. The design is further complemented by a large crescent-shaped ejector rod head, maintaining the traditional western profile. Ergonomics are enhanced by hardwood grips, offering a secure and natural hand-filling hold.
